We have designed over 25 Culver’s restaurants but only the site in Macon, GA, included a solar array.
There simply was not enough square footage on the iconic blue roof so we designed a metal structure to hold the panels. Optimus Energy was able to support this design requirement through the implementation of a strategically placed solar canopy. This awning covers an entire row of on-site parking. Not only will the 150 panel solar energy array offset 20% of the restaurant’s power consumption each year of operation, but it also provides great shade (and protection from the rain) for their customers.
